NCC Cadets of 2 Pb Battalion shine in the 79th Independence Day Parade at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium
The cadets of 2 PB NCC Battalion displayed exceptional discipline and patriotism during the 79th Independence Day march past held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar. The contingent was led by Cadet Chetan Pasi of Lyallpur Khalsa College, who marched at the front with remarkable confidence and precision. Girl cadets from 2 PB NCC Battalion were also part of the contingent.

Jalandhar, August 16, 2025: The cadets of 2 PB NCC Battalion displayed exceptional discipline and patriotism during the 79th Independence Day march past held at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar. The contingent was led by Cadet Chetan Pasi of Lyallpur Khalsa College, who marched at the front with remarkable confidence and precision. Girl cadets from 2 PB NCC Battalion were also part of the contingent.
The Independence Day function was graced by Chief Guest Tarunpreet Singh Sond, who took the salute of the parade and lauded the spirited performance of the cadets. Major General Asish Bhardwaj, General Officer commanding 91 Sub Area applauded the efforts and fine tuning of the contingent drill by NCC cadets. He also distributed sweets to the participant cadets.
The participation reflected the unity and dedication of youth from various prestigious institutions of the city. The contingent comprised six cadets from Lyallpur Khalsa College, two from Mehar Chand ITI, six from MC Polytechnic, two from Apeejay College, four from DAV University, two from CT College, four from DAV College, eight from Doaba College, and one from Sports College. Each cadet contributed to the impressive and synchronized display of military drill, embodying the values of the National Cadet Corps.
Brigadier Ajay Tewari, Sena Medal, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Jalandhar, witnessed the parade preparations for the last twenty days. He also congratulated the cadets for their commendable performance and said that the NCC cadets have once again proven that they are the torchbearers of discipline, unity, and national pride. Their dedication to service is a source of inspiration for the entire youth community.
Colonel Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer, 2 PB NCC Battalion, appreciated the relentless efforts of the cadets and the instructors Naib Subedar Kuldeep Singh and Havildar Balbir Singh. He felt proud for each cadet who participated today. Their flawless drill and patriotic spirit truly reflected the ethos of NCC – Unity and Discipline. This performance is a testament to their rigorous training and commitment to the nation.
