NCC Cadets Lead Tree Plantation Drive at Lyallpur Khalsa College
As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community service, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a tree plantation drive on campus.

Jalandhar, August 01, 2025: As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community service, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College organized a tree plantation drive on campus.
The event was marked by the enthusiastic participation of NCC cadets and the college administration.
The drive was formally inaugurated by Dr. Suman Chopra, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, who planted the first sapling, setting the tone for the initiative.
In her address, Dr. Chopra emphasized the critical role of youth in preserving the environment and lauded the cadets for their proactive efforts. The saplings for the plantation were generously provided by 2 PB NCC Battalion, under the guidance of Col Vinod Joshi, who has been a strong advocate for green initiatives and youth-led environmental action.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Karanbir Singh, NCC incharge encouraged the cadets to continue being ambassadors of change and to take ownership of the saplings to ensure their healthy growth.
Prof. Satpal Singh, Incharge NSS unit was also present on this occasion. The event concluded with the planting of numerous trees across the campus, reflecting the collective spirit of environmental responsibility and nation-building.
