Mumbai (Anil Bedag): This Dussehra 2026, audiences are set to witness a unique blend of laughter, thrills and mystery on the big screen. Amazon MGM Studios and Colour Yellow’s fantasy family entertainer “Nayi Naveli” is all set to release in cinemas on October 16, 2026. The film features Yami Gautam Dhar in a completely different and intriguing avatar.
Set against the backdrop of Meerut, the story revolves around a bride who enters an extremely eccentric family and appears to be the perfect daughter-in-law at first glance. Her arrival brings happiness back into the household, but things take an unexpected turn when her brother-in-law begins to suspect that there is more to her than meets the eye. The big question arises—“Could this seemingly perfect sister-in-law actually be a witch?”
The film is directed by Balaji Mohan, while the story has been written by Himanshu Sharma and Divya Nidhi Sharma. Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma are the producers, with music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
According to producer Aanand L Rai, “This is a story that will surprise audiences at every turn.” Nikhil Madhok, meanwhile, describes the film as “the perfect movie to watch with the family in theatres during Dussehra.”
