Nawanshahr, March 5, 2022:  The Shaheed Bhagat Singh (SBS) Nagar has been once again ranked number-1 in the Punjab with lowest pendency in public centric services offered through Sewa Kendras.

In a latest ranking report released, the district had only 0.08 percent pendency of applications in Sewa Kendras from March 5, 2021 and March 4, 2022. It was pertinent to mention here that the district had already been securing first ranking in the state with 0.04 percent, 0.09 and 0.07 percent pendency in the previous months also.

Disclosing further details, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that SBS Nagar had received 133811 applications in Sewa Kendras from March 5, 2021 and March 4, 2022 and 109 applications were pending beyond the stipulated timeline. He said that 697 applications were rejected and 1860 were sent back on the account of inappropriate information or documents. He said that 1382 applications were in the process and remaining applications were disposed of on time.

Sarangal lauded the officials and employees for their earnest efforts towards promptly delivering the services to the people in Sewa Kendras and added that the administration was committed to redress the applications of the people within a set time-bound manner.

He asserted that the administration would leave no stone unturned to facilitate the people by settling their applications within a set timeframe. DC said that clear directions had been given to the officials and employees to strictly adhere to deliver the services to the people timely and exhorted them to continue to exhibit the same zeal and passion towards their duties.
