National Webinar on Millets at Home Science College

chandigarh, February 21, 2022: In sync with 2023 being declared as International Year of Millets by UN General Assembly, Govt. Home Science College in partnership with CIHM-42, organised a One Day National Webinar on " Entrepreneurial Development Through Value Added Miracle Millet Products ".
Dr. Pratibha Tewari, Principal Scientist and Head of Division, ICAR- CAZRI was the resource person. She gave insights on importance and nutritive value of Millets commonly consumed in the diet.
The presentation was followed by a demonstration by Dr. Savita Singhal,Ex- Chief Technical Officer, ICAR-CAZRI. She gave a demo on laddoo and mathri using millets.
The webinar was well attended by over 200 participants from the faculty and students of the college.
Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal emphasized the need to incorporate these wonder grains to increase the nutritional content of our diets and avail their health benefits.
