Ludhiana, August 28, 2013: National Sports Day will be celebrated by all the sports fraternity of the district at Prithipal Singh Hockey Stadium, Punjab Agriculture University tomorrow at 5 pm on the eve of eve of birth anniversary of Indian Hockey legend Dhyan Singh.
According to Kartar Singh Sehamby, District Sports Officer, Ludhiana, a hockey match will also be played on the occasion.
He added this day is celebrated to spread sports to every nook and corner of the country by creating a wide awareness about the fruitful side of sports as it is a need to build a sports culture in the country.
