National Postal Badminton at Dharamshala from Feb 22 to 26 

Dharamshala: While giving the information, Superintendent Post Office Dharamshala Mandal SP Sharma said that the National Badminton Competition of the Postal Department shall be organized from 22 February to 26 February 2021 in the Indoor stadium at Dharamshala. The postal department has made complete preparations for this competition to be held from 22 February to 26 February and even nine players representing the Himachal Pradesh Postal Circle have also been selected for the said competition.

Sharma said that all necessary steps are being taken by the Department of Posts for organizing the National Level Badminton Competition of the Department of Posts this time in Dharamshala Division during the Corona period.  the Corona Test of players and their representatives coming from all the circles will be conducted, and provision has also been made to conduct thermal tests during their arrival and the  competition.  Sanitizers  will be provided at the gate and it will be mandatory for all players and members to use masks. He informed that the guidelines given by the central and state government for prevention of corona epidemic will be strictly followed during the entire competition.

Sharma said that in order to prevent overcrowding during the competition and also to provide live games to the general public.

“This time the entire competition will be broadcast online through digital medium for which a website has been made by the department,” said S P Sharma.

Sharma said that in this year's competition, players from about 23 postal circles all over India are coming to participate in this competition to be organized in Dharamshala.
