National News- Two years rigorous imprisonment to then Defence Estate Officer of Pune in bribery case

Jalandhar, September 13, 2013: The Special Judge, Pune has convicted N.Srinivasa Reddy, the then Defence Estate Officer, Pune and sentenced him to undergo two years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.25,000 for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant.

This case was registered on October 6, 2009 on a complaint wherein it was alleged that N.S.Reddy while working as Defence Estate Officer had demanded a bribe of Rs.50,000 from the complainant for recording/adding the name of his son in the Property card of two Bungalows at Castilno Road, Pune,  as per the will of Complainant’s Mother. CBI laid a trap and caught N.S.Reddy, while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.50,000 on October 9, 2009 from the complainant.

The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
