National leadership of BJP seems serious on strengthening of organisational structure in Punjab
Author.

National BJP leadership seems to be serious on the issue of strengthening of the party’s organisational structure in Punjab. Among others, Madan Mohan Mittal, Balram Ji Dass Tandon, Manoranjan Kalia, Daya Singh Sodhi, Prof Brij Lal Rinwa, Prof Rajinder Bhandari, Ashwani Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Vijay Sampla and Shawet Malik have worked as the party’s state president.   Presently, Ashwani Sharma is serving as second time state president. Who can be the next state president of the part?  The question arises here. Who is the next eligible candidate for this post? Senior congress leaders who have joined BJP recently are hoping that they will be suitably accommodated in the party. Will any of them will replace the present state president? This is also a question arising in the minds of the party workers. Still, it is sure that the party high command will have to keep in mind the seniority, working and experience of the next president. The party high command is aware of the fact that the next state president will have to prove his capability in the forthcoming elections to municipal corporations and municipal committee elections, even the next parliamentary elections due in 2024. There are apprehensions of few organisational changes in the party’s state unit. Some new faces can be inducted and assigned the responsibilities. There is also the possibility that the party leaders who are presently seemed sidelined may also be accommodated in the “marg darshan mandal” to guide the state leadership.
