National Institute of Technology (NIT), Delhi recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apeejay Stya University (ASU) for fostering collaborative research and exchange programmes.

New Delhi, April 13, 2023: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Delhi recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apeejay Stya University (ASU) for fostering collaborative research and exchange programmes.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Sushma Paul Berlia, Co-Founder and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay K. Sharma, Director, National Institute of Technology, Delhi and Prof. Raj S. Dhankar, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University. Dignitaries from both NIT and ASU present during the signing ceremony were Prof. Geeta Sikka, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, NIT, Delhi, Dr. Mithilesh Kr Singh, Principal Fellow, ASERF and OSD to Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, Dr. Varuna Tyagi, Registrar, Apeejay Stya University, Dr. Renu Batra, Advisor, Higher Education, Apeejay Education and Prof. Moinuddin, Distinguished Professor, School of Engineering & Technology, Apeejay Stya University.

The purpose of this MoU is to collaborate and facilitate the advancement of knowledge that will be achieved on the basis of reciprocity, best effort, mutual benefit and frequent interactions between the above mentioned institutions.

Commenting on this tie-up, Sushma Paul Berlia, said “We are delighted to have partnered with National Institute of Technology, Delhi. This partnership represents our commitment towards advancing knowledge and promoting academic excellence and innovation. We look forward to work closely with NIT and leverage our collective strengths to make significant contribution to the academic community. This tie-up will open up new avenues for our students, faculty and researchers to learn and grow together.”

Prof. (Dr.) Ajay K. Sharma, shared his views stating “This collaboration marks a significant milestone in promoting collaborative research and exchange programmes. It will enhance the scope of innovation and entrepreneurship-driven opportunities and resources for our students, enabling them to gain greater exposure from knowledge sharing and collaborative consulting. We look forward to a fruitful partnership.”

Further, both the parties agreed to exchange the intellectual know-how and resources. The institutes would partner in innovation and entrepreneurship- driven opportunities and resources. The MoU recognises sharing of scientific-technical network and infrastructure resources. The students will have greater exposure from the knowledge sharing and will benefit from the collaborative consulting and the exchange of academic personnel between the institutes.  


Both the institutions would further co-operate, promote and facilitate joint research programmes/proposals and education in areas of mutual interest.
