National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula, Celebrates World Sanskrit Day with Enthusiasm and Reverence

Honouring the eternal significance of the Sanskrit language, World Sanskrit Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence on the 7th and 8th of August at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula, located in the state of Haryana.

Panchkula, August 9, 2025: Honouring the eternal significance of the Sanskrit language, World Sanskrit Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence on the 7th and 8th of August at the National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula, located in the state of Haryana. The event was presided over by Prof. Satish Gandharve, Dean In-Charge of the National Institute of Ayurveda. The celebration witnessed the gracious presence of the institute’s respected professors, associate professors, and medical faculty members.

The festivities included several key student-led events: a Sanskrit Quiz Competition, testing knowledge of grammar, literature, and Ayurvedic sciences; a Sanskrit Song Singing Competition, where students presented melodious compositions in proper tune; Shloka Recitation from revered classical texts such as the Charaka Samhita and Ashtangahridaya, rendered in precise and rhythmic chant; and a Sanskrit Conversational Session, in which students engaged in spoken Sanskrit on the theme of Sanskrit Day.

On this auspicious occasion, we extend heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, Dean Prof. Gulab Pamnani, and Dean In-Charge Prof. Satish Gandharve for their unwavering commitment to the preservation and promotion of Sanskrit heritage within the institution. Assistant Professor Chandramohan offered a formal vote of thanks to all participants and dignitaries.
