National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula Celebrates Ayurveda Day 2025

Panchkula, September 23, 2025: The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Panchkula, under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, celebrated Ayurveda Day 2025 with great enthusiasm. This year’s theme was “Ayurveda for People and Planet,” highlighting the importance of Ayurveda in daily life and for the well-being of the environment.
The main event at NIA Panchkula was attended by MLA Kalka, Shakti Rani Sharma, as Chief Guest, along with her team and Dean NIA Panchkula, Prof. Gulab Pamnani. Dean Prof. Pamnani spoke about promoting Ayurveda and its benefits, while Shakti Rani Sharma highlighted its role in human life and for the planet. The celebrations included cultural performances by first-year professional students. Winners of the Quiz, Rangoli, Poster Making, and Ayurkavya competitions were awarded by the Chief Guest.
Before the main event, several activities were organized to spread Ayurveda awareness. These included an awareness lecture on 18 September at Government Senior Secondary School, Saketri, by Dr. Meemansa; a free medical camp on 19 September at Govind Pura Community Centre, led by Dr. Dushyant Parmar and Dr. Sunita Yadav, benefiting 131 citizens; Rangoli and Poster Making competitions coordinated by Dr. Aswathy; and a cleanliness drive on 20 September at Car Market, Manimajra, graced by Commissioner Amit Kumar.
The Ministry of AYUSH has declared 23 September as Ayurveda Day through a Gazette notification. This date, coinciding with autumnal equinox the balance between mind, body, and nature. Ayurveda Day encourages people to learn about Ayurveda, adopt its practices in daily life, and promote holistic health.
