National Girl Child Day Celebrated by Honouring Meritorious Students
On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, Tushar Foundation, a non-governmental organization(NGO), organized a National Girl Child Day celebration at Government Senior Secondary School, Phase 3B1, Mohali. The aim of the programme was to honor and encourage meritorious girl students who have excelled in academic and sports fields.
Mohali, January 24, 2026: On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, Tushar Foundation, a non-governmental organization(NGO), organized a National Girl Child Day celebration at Government Senior Secondary School, Phase 3B1, Mohali. The aim of the programme was to honor and encourage meritorious girl students who have excelled in academic and sports fields.
The event was graced by the presence of Sarabjit Singh, Councillor of Sector 71, Mohali, as the Chief Guest. Mohit Bansal, CEO of GMI Infra, was present as the Special Guest. Also present were international athlete - Yadvinder Singh who is Founder & Director of Tushar Foundation, and Kiran Kaur, Director of Tushar Foundation, who is also a renowned singer.
During the event, 15 outstanding girl students from Government Senior Secondary School, Phase 3B1, Mohali, were honored for their remarkable achievements in the fields of sports and education. The girls participating in the program were between the ages of 10 and 16. The students were presented with certificates, medals, and gift hampers.
On this occasion, Yadwinder Singh, Founder and Director of Tushar Foundation, said that the foundation is a national non-governmental organization working in the fields of child education, health, and sports, and has been honored by the Honorable Governor and Home Secretary of the Chandigarh Administration as one of the best NGOs in Chandigarh.
Through this event, a strong message of girl child empowerment was conveyed, further strengthening awareness regarding the education and respect of girls in society.
