National Commission for Backward Classes to hold public hearing at Punjab Bhawan Chandigarh on Oct 25

Chandigarh, October 24, 2013: To include more backward classes in the Central List of Backward Classes for the  State of Punjab, National Commission for Backward Classes, New Delhi would have a public hearing on October 25 at 2.00 pm  at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh  with  NGOs/Associations  from Backward Classes.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of Scheduled Casts and Backward Classes Welfare Department said that the Castes and Communities in respect of which Public Hearing to be held were Re, Kuleen Brahmn, Tamboli,Sanyasi Sadhu, Sanyasi Bawa, Buzroos, Mehra rajputs, Soni Rajputs, Dhiman, Gujjar Muslim, Chhippi, Chimpa, Kangohra, Thathora and Tampora.
He further said that the associations/organizations and  individuals  of the above castes/sub castes/communities are requested to appear before the Commission as per prescribed programme and furnish all available, information/data regarding the above castes/sub-castes/communities. Any other association/organisation or individual who have any view to express in the matter pertaining to the aforesaid castes/communities may also appear before the Commission, add the spokesman. www.cityairnews.com
