Chandigarh, May 28, 2025: The 'Nasha Mukti Yatra' led by leaders, MLAs, and ministers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab continued across the state today. On Wednesday, party leaders carried out extensive awareness campaigns against drugs in hundreds of villages, raising awareness among the people.

Several anti-drug programs were organized at different locations, where MLAs and ministers administered oaths to the local population, urging them to stay away from drugs, collectively boycott drug smugglers, and refrain from offering any legal assistance, especially regarding bail, to such individuals.

During the campaign, AAP leaders called on people to support the Punjab Government's initiative, 'Yudh Nasheyan Virudh' (War Against Drugs), and cooperate with the government to eradicate drugs from the state completely. As a result of these efforts, many panchayats formally declared their villages drug-free during various programs held today.

Punjab Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal led the campaign in Ajnala, Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO in Jandiala Guru, Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak in Bhoa, Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sondh in Khanna, Dr. Balbir in Patiala Rural constituency, and Minister Laljit Bhullar conducted extensive anti-drug drives in various villages of his assembly constituency, Patti.

During the campaign, the cabinet ministers urged the public not to extend any form of support to drug smugglers, to boycott them collectively, and to avoid aiding their bail processes in cases filed against them. They also appealed to the people to immediately report any information regarding smugglers in their area to the police.
