Nasha Mukti Morcha Holds Meeting with Police, Discusses Strategy to Combat Drug Abuse
The Ludhiana East Wing of the Nasha Mukti Morcha, formed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Punjab, held a meeting with police officials to discuss measures to prevent drug abuse in the area, keep young people away from drugs, and make the ongoing anti-drug campaign more effective.
Ludhiana, October 11, 2026: The Ludhiana East Wing of the Nasha Mukti Morcha, formed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Punjab, held a meeting with police officials to discuss measures to prevent drug abuse in the area, keep young people away from drugs, and make the ongoing anti-drug campaign more effective.
During the meeting, emphasis was laid on strengthening coordination between the police and Morcha office-bearers, as well as raising public awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The Morcha representatives stated that their party’s objective is to eliminate the drug trade from Punjab.
The meeting also highlighted that cooperation from every section of society, along with the police administration, is essential to eradicate the drug menace. The participants discussed the need for joint efforts to protect young people from drugs and create greater public awareness.
The meeting was attended by DCP Rural Ludhiana Gur Sevak Singh, PPS; DCP Investigation Rupinder Kaur Bhatti, PPS; ACP East Raj Kumar, PPS; ACP Traffic Gurwinder Singh, PPS; and Gagandeep Singh, SHO of Police Station Division No. 7.
Representing the Nasha Mukti Morcha, Pankaj Mehta, Halka East Coordinator; Abhishek Jalota, Block Coordinator; Mohit Mittal, Block Coordinator; Yogesh Jindal, Block Coordinator; Aman Singh, Field Officer; and Mohit Bagla, Volunteer, along with other office-bearers, participated in the meeting.
