Music, Dance and Tributes Mark Teachers’ Day at MDU; Retired Faculty Honoured

Rohtak, September 6, 2026: MDU came alive with music, dance and celebrations as the Teachers’ Club hosted a vibrant Teachers’ Day programme. Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal and Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Randeep Rana extended warm Teachers’ Day greetings to the teaching fraternity.
Registrar’s wife Rakhi Bansal and Dean Students’ Welfare Prof. Sapna Garg also attended the event.
Superannuated teachers Prof. J.S.Sikka and Prof. Krishna Joon were felicitated for their contribution to the university and the teaching profession.
The cultural evening featured soulful musical and dance performances by teachers and artists, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. A performance by musical band Yaman was particularly appreciated by the audience and drew loud applause. The programme was coordinated and conducted by Dr Saurabh Verma.
The Teachers’ Club team—Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, Prof. Seema Rathi, Dr Hari Mohan, Dr Shree Bhagwan and Dr Aarti— facilitated the successful organisation of the event.
Faculty members attended the celebration along with their family members and shared the festive spirit of Teachers’ Day in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
