Ludhiana, June 27, 2026: The Project Implementation Unit (PIU), Municipal Corporation Ludhiana, successfully organized a Chabeel and Langar Seva dedicated to the Shaheedi Purab of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji at the Indoor Stadium, Pakhowal Road.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and Municipal Commissioner Ojaswi Alankar, and conducted under the leadership of Superintending Engineer (Projects) Er. Parul Goyal. Officers of MCL, the PIU team actively participated in the seva by serving chilled sweetened water and langar to a large number of commuters and citizens.
During the event, the project team also created awareness about the World Bank and AIIB-funded Canal-Based Ludhiana Surface Water Supply Project, which aims to provide clean, treated canal water to nearly 30 lakh residents while reducing dependence on groundwater.
Er. Parul Goyal stated that such initiatives strengthen community participation and reflect the values of seva, humanity, and social responsibility, alongside the Municipal Corporation's commitment to sustainable urban development. The programme concluded with a message of unity, compassion, and public service inspired by the teachings of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
