Muggy Friday in Delhi, cloudy Saturday expected

New Delhi, July 11 (IANS) It was a muggy, sunny Friday in the national capital with the maximum temperature recorded seven notches above the season's average at 42 degrees Celsius and the humidity as high as 74 percent. The Met office has forecast a cloudy Saturday.

"Saturday will be partly cloudy with thundery conditions in some parts of the city," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 41 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively.

On Friday, the minimum temperature settled three notches above average at 30.1 degrees Celsius, while the humidity wavered between a high and low of 74 and 26 percent.

The maximum temperature Thursday settled at 41.3 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average, while the minimum was 30 degrees Celsius, three notches above the average.
