Jalandhar, August 30, 2023: In DMCH College of Nursing, Ludhiana, M.Sc Nursing Ist year students organised objective structured clinical examination/ objective structured practical examination (OSCE / OSPE) stations under the guidance of Dr Triza Jiwan Principal of college, Prof.Nidhi Sagar and Associate Prof. Meenakshi on Tuesday.
The event started with a formal inauguration and welcome of the Principal and faculty. The students displayed the OSCE/ OSPE stations of their respective specialties Medical Surgical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Obstetric Nursing.
Dr. Triza Jiwan Principal said OSCE/OSPE is a versatile multipurpose evaluative tool that can be utilized to assess health care professionals in the clinical settings.
Prof Nidhi Sagar, Coordinator of Nursing Education department appreciated the efforts of students and emphasized that OSCE/OSPE helps in uniform testing of students for a wide range of clinical skills.
Prof. Bindu K shared her views about the importance of OSCE/OSPE and its implications.
Associate Prof.Meenakshi motivated the students to organize such activities in future also for learning of junior students.
The event was concluded with certificate distribution to participants and vote of thanks.
