MP Rajya Sabha Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi Inaugurated LPU’s Annual “One World” Fest

Jalandhar: Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), and senior leader of the Indian National Congress (INC), on Saturday inaugurated Lovely Professional University’s (LPU) mega international fest “One World” 2026, in the esteemed presence of Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU.
The festival unfolded as a reflection of LPU’s EduRevolution vision, anchored in the theme “The Journey of Evolution of Education from Traditional Wisdom to Artificial Intelligence.” Turning the campus into a living mini world, the celebration brought together 4,000+ student participants and 40,000+ attendees, with representations from over 30+ countries such as Spain, Mexico, Nepal, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Ivory Coast. The atmosphere reflected a powerful confluence of cultures, creating an immersive global experience.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi expressed his admiration for the scale and vision of the university, stating that it was inspiring to witness such a humongous and dynamic institution with outstanding rankings, excellent infrastructure, and comprehensive facilities spanning academics, research, healthcare, sports, and student life. Dr. Singhvi highlighted the remarkable diversity of disciplines and the global character of the campus.
Reflecting on his extensive experience as a senior advocate, Dr. Singhvi emphasized communication through speech as a defining strength in the legal profession.
Dr. Singhvi stated that a lawyer must understand their own weaknesses more than others understand and know the law more thoroughly than their opponent. Dr. Singhvi remarked, “Your best friend is your hard work,” adding that 99% of success is perspiration and only 1% is inspiration. Dr. Singhvi encouraged students to remain consistent and disciplined, noting that with hard work, there is little that cannot be achieved.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal stated that it is a matter of immense pride and privilege for LPU to host such an eminent personality, whose presence adds meaningful depth to the university’s academic and intellectual environment. Dr. Mittal reflected that LPU stands as a true embodiment of “One World,” where diversity is not merely celebrated but seamlessly integrated into everyday campus life. Dr. Mittal further remarked that LPU’s EduRevolution is rooted in reimagining education through global exposure, interdisciplinary learning, and future ready thinking, and that such a grand confluence of cultures and ideas reflects the university’s commitment to encouraging meaningful connections, collective excellence, and a shared global vision.
The One World Procession brought the campus alive with a rich display of cultures, as students from across schools represented countries through thoughtfully curated presentations. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, complemented by intricate jewellery and distinctive cultural elements, each contingent reflected the spirit of its nation with striking authenticity. The procession unfolded like a seamless journey across borders, where colours, textures, and expressions came together to create a visually captivating global experience.
Building on this energy, the celebration flowed into a combined presentation of fashion, dance, and music, blending cultural identity with contemporary imagination. The fashion segment introduced AI inspired interpretations through futuristic silhouettes, digital motifs, and innovative styling, while stage performances brought together rhythmic African movements, Nepalese beats, and Bhutanese grace in a refined fusion of tradition and modern choreography. Students from different countries came together to present a beautifully coordinated performance that reflected the central theme through dance, creating a captivating visual narrative for the audience. The entire sequence evolved into an immersive artistic experience, where culture, creativity, and technology found a natural and compelling balance.
The celebration also extended into a vibrant entrepreneurial segment under LPU’s EduRevolution initiative, where students and alumni presented an impressive range of ventures. From handcrafted jewellery, crochet creations, and customised posters to bakery products, bags, and health and wellness offerings, the segment reflected a dynamic blend of creativity and real world learning, enabling students to transform ideas into live experiences while earning academic credits.
