MP Arora visits Punjab Police Academy at Phillaur

Ludhiana, January 12, 2023: AAP MP (Rajya Sabha) from Ludhiana Sanjeev Arora today visited most prestigious Punjab Police Academy in Phillaur and discussed in detail on working and upliftment of Qila where it is situated. Present in the informal meeting were Anita Punj, ADGP-cum-Director, Punjab Police Academy, Dr Narinder Bhargav, IPS and Rupinder Singh, PPS. After discussions Arora promised to take up issues with government and try to get any stalled work completed at the earliest.

He also visited historic Mazar of Pir Baba Abdullah Shah Ji, located in the premises of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Fort, Phillaur, near here. He offered `chadar’ at the Mazar and paid his obeisance as a mark of respect.

On the occasion, Arora handed over an electric golf cart from CSR funds to facilitate elderly and handicapped visiting the Mazar. “During my visits to this sacred place over the period, I strongly felt that there was a dire need of this facility”, he stated. It may be mentioned here that Arora is a staunch follower of Pir Baba Abdullah Shah Ji and he frequently used to visit there to offer `chadar’ and pay obeisance. There were the days when he never missed even a single Thursday to visit the Mazar. He used to send his person to offer `chadar’ in case he was traveling.

Arora further offered to renovate the whole of Mazar area at his own cost.

“The Mazar, over the years has been a source of great spiritual inspiration to the police personnel and the people who come from near and far away places like me to pay their respects to the revered Pir”, said Arora. He added as per the history, Pir Baba Abdullah Shah Ji had sacrificed his life to uphold the human values of love and kindness.

Arora said the Mazar is a great symbol of communal harmony as people belonging to every religion of the society used to visit there to pay their obeisance and respect.
