Ludhiana, May 13, 2023: Sanjeev Arora, MP (Rajya Sabha) had a video call recently with the Deputy Commissioner, officers of District Administration and NHAI authorities.

On elevated highway in Ludhiana it has been assured by Ashok Kumar Rolaniya recently posted as new Project Director in Ludhiana that they are trying their best to complete by end June of 2023. If there is any spill over, it will go maximum into July. Also, he has assured that not only elevated portion but also the road going below the elevated road will be fully carpeted along with. He also assured Arora that all machinery and material not required will be cleared very soon. This whole work will bring a lot of reprieves to Ludhiana Citizens as far as traffic is concerned. Arora requested Ludhiana citizens to bear traffic issues for another couple of months and things will change a lot.

Ashok brought up an issue on petrol pump land which is required to be possessed for completion of small patch. DC Surbhi Malik promised to take care of this issue as soon as possible. It is being delayed as some legal complications are involved.

Further, Ashok has confirmed that he will soon send drawings for approval from Head Office taking care of parking issues for various markets. This matter was also taken up by MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi.

Also, four bridges approved on Canal after efforts of Arora are in tendering stage and work should start as soon as contract is awarded. These four bridges are expected to be complete by the end of 2023.

Also, Ludhiana-Ropar highway is on a fast track. Out of 37 Kms possession of 7 Kms is pending, and District Administration is working hard to take care of the same. This highway should be completed in 2025.

ROB being built in Moga by NHAI will be completed by October 2023.

Arora praised the efforts being made by the District Administration under leadership of Deputy Commissioner Surbhi Malik for timely completion of all projects.
