Ludhiana, May 21, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora presided over a special session titled ‘Dil Se’, organized as part of the ongoing soft skills initiative ‘CommunicateX’ at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday.

Arora, who also serves as Vice President of the DMCH Managing Society, addressed the gathering and emphasized the vital role of nursing staff, ward boys, security personnel, clinical staff, and doctors in ensuring effective hospital care. He stressed that coordination, politeness, and humility among all staff members are essential for patient satisfaction and recovery. He applauded role of Nursing Staff, Ward Boys, Security Personnel and Class IV employees in quality healthcare in the hospital.

Praising DMCH for its commitment to enhancing communication skills, Arora noted, “While the staff already demonstrates excellent communication abilities, striving for par excellence will elevate patient care.” He further added, “If hospital staff speak softly and behave politely with patients and their attendants, it gives fifty percent relief. The remaining fifty percent comes from medical treatment.”

Encouraging staff to maintain professionalism, Arora advised, “Leave personal worries at home. Treat every patient as if they are a member of your family. This approach offers a healing touch that accelerates recovery.”

Sharing personal experiences from his journey as a parliamentarian, Arora said he had passionately pursued the ‘Dil Se’ initiative over the past three years. Highlighting his contributions, he briefly mentioned key projects such as the development of Halwara Airport, upgradation of the Civil Hospital and ESI Hospital, and the elevated road project—all undertaken without expecting anything in return.

In a significant announcement, Arora committed Rs.5 lakh annually to DMCH to honour outstanding staff from nursing, security, and ward categories. He also appreciated Gauri for excellently hosting the session.

DMCH Principal Dr. G.S. Wander and Managing Society Secretary Bipin Gupta lauded Arora’s dedication to public service and his continued support for the institution. Dr. Sandeep Sharma and Mukesh Kumar Verma were also present at the event.

On this occasion, Arora was honoured with a memento by the institution.
