MOU between Directorate of Census Operations and BPSMV will enrich the research work

Khanpur Kalan, April 23, 2024: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya and the office of the Directorate of Census Operations, Haryana (Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India). Under this MoU, a work-station will be set up by the Directorate in the BPSMV for research on sample micro data from census. Director, Census Operations, Haryana Lalit Jain (IAS) and Vice Chancellor Prof. Sudesh signed the MoU.

Director, Census Operations Lalit Jain (IAS) said that this MoU will play an important role in providing a reliable source of data to the research scholars. He appealed to the present faculty members to bring out the real potential of the girl students. He said that the Census captures the basic data of population including living standard and economic development.

VC Prof. Sudesh expressed happiness over the signing of this MoU and said that this MoU will prove to be a milestone in the research journey of BPSMV. She said that faculty members will also benefit from this MoU. Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Sanket Vij, Registrar Dr. Neelam Malik, Dean Student Welfare Prof. Shweta Hooda along with Deans and HODs of various faculties were present on this occasion. On behalf of the Directorate of Census Operations, Haryana, Joint Director R.P. Singh, Assistant Director Kavita Panchal, Research Officer Dr. Radha Raman, Statistical Investigator Gurvinder Pal Singh and Devesh Bansal also attended the MOU signing ceremony. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Ravi Bhushan conducted the program. Later on, Director, Census Operations Lalit Jain (IAS) inspected the workstation and also took information about the facilities available there.
