Chandigarh, March 20, 2023: The “Department of Mathematics, Panjab University, Chandigarh” organized a lecture on “Gender Equality & Women Empowerment” on the occasion of International Women’s Day in the Seminar Hall on March 20, 2023 at 2:30 pm.
The key speaker was Prof. Anju Suri, who is a faculty of Dean Arts, PU and professor at Deptt. of History, PU.
The motivational lecture started with a welcome address by Dr. Manisha Sharma and was graced by Prof. Dinesh Khurana.
The objective of the lecture was to create awareness about the recognition of self-worth of women.
Prof. Anju emphasized the importance of access to education, access to paid work and political participation of women. It was quite an interactive session.
