Mother’s Day celebrated in Doaba College

Jalandhar, May 20, 2023: The Student Welfare Committee, Doaba College Jalandhar celebrated Mother’s Day by organizing an online programme entitled ‘Thank You Mom’. 

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari graced the occasion as chief guest and Kusum Bhandari, mother of Principal as guest of honour. Prof. Surjeet Kaur-Convener accorded a hearty welcome to the dignitaries and said that a mother is the first teacher whose blessings make her children succeed in life.

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, said that Doaba College's extended family imparts values to students. He advised the students to respect their mothers as Indian traditions equate mothers to God.

Kusum Bhandari, mother of Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari sang a very melodious bhajan and spread positivity in the whole atmosphere. Several students from different departments of the college gave performances in the form of songs, collage, poems and solo dances to express their emotions towards their mothers. The enthusiastic participation of mothers of students added an inconceivable vibrance to the entire event.

The event culminated with a vote of thanks from Prof. Sonia Kalra-Co-convener of the event. Prof. Priya Chopra anchored the event. Around 80 students along with their mothers participated in it.
