Most Services Not Included on New Portal Causing Problems at Sewa Kendras: Parminder Mehta

He said the main reason for the difficulties at Sewa Kendras is the change in the portal, following which most government services have not yet been made available on the new portal.

Ludhiana, September 19, 2026: Senior leader and former councillor Parminder Mehta has appealed for resolving the problems being faced by people at Sewa Kendras across Punjab. He said the main reason for the difficulties at Sewa Kendras is the change in the portal, following which most government services have not yet been made available on the new portal.
Mehta said people are visiting Sewa Kendras to avail themselves of various government services, but they are facing difficulties as the concerned services are not available on the new portal. In several cases, people are being forced to return without getting their work done.
He appealed to the Punjab government and officials of the concerned departments to ensure that all pending services are included on the new portal at the earliest, so that people do not have to make repeated visits to Sewa Kendras to avail themselves of government services.
He said the purpose of changing the portal should be to provide better and more convenient services to people, rather than adding to their difficulties.
