“MOJO” Redefines News Reporting, Puts Mobile at Journalism’s Core

Rohtak, September 26, 2026: Mobile journalism is reshaping the way news is gathered, reported and delivered, giving journalists the flexibility to cover events from the ground—even in remote and difficult locations, experts said at the launch of Mojo, a book by Dr Krishna Kumar, at Maharshi Dayanand University’s Vivekananda Library.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof Randeep Rana, former Journalism and Mass Communication department heads Prof Sarojini Nandal and Prof Harish Kumar, and MDU Director Public Relations Sunit Mukherjee released the book.
Prof Rana said mobile journalism had expanded the reach of news coverage, enabling journalists to report from even remote locations. He said Mojo could also help bring hidden truths to light and urged students to practise fearless journalism.
Prof Nandal described the book as a timely contribution on an emerging area of journalism, while Prof Harish Kumar highlighted its significance in reporting from difficult locations, particularly during disasters.
Dr Krishna Kumar, faculty member in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind, said the book was written to document the growing importance of mobile journalism and its evolving practices.
Director PR Sunit Mukherjee underlined the contemporary relevance of Mojo and called for greater promotion of reading and book culture. He proposed the vote of thanks
The event was conducted by Deputy Librarian Dr Seema Deswal, while Dr Balram Bind, Dr Pradeep Kumar and other faculty members also shared their views. Faculty members, research scholars and students attended the programme.
