Ravali Parandi of Udbhav School India No.3 clinches Gold at the Republic Day Regatta 2021 at Hussain Sagar Sagar.

Hyderabad:  The breeze came in style at a rock steady 5 to 10 knots from the north and the fleets threw in 5 races back to back to give us a total of 10 races for the Republic Day Regatta 2021 on day three today held at the Yacht Club of Hyderabad, Hussain Sagar.
 
Even the Juniors sailed the Lasers to close the preliminaries leaving only the finals for tomorrow weather permitting
 
The entire fleet of 100 sailors was beaming with some awesome racing weather.
 
Mohammad Moutameen of Udbhav continued to perform and despite a poor 8th race managed to clinch the Gold follows closely by dark Horse Vignesh Boonigiri  and Shyam Belapally in Silver and Bronze. 
 
The action to watch was in the Main Fleet for the Sub Juionrs where all the races had the top three Indian seeds battling it out to finish with completely reversed final tallies . Ravali Parandi India No. 3 clinched Gold , Vaishnavi Veeramvamsham India No. 2 clinched Silver and India No. 1 Jhansi Priya Laveti India No.1 had to settle for a Bronze.
 
Both Ravali and Vaishnavi tied at 36 points but Ravali  got more firsts and topped for Gold
 
Harshavardhan Yerra of Swearoes finished in 4th position just 7 points behind Jhansi Priya despite having little practice.
 
Tomorrow will be the last day of the extended regatta with the Juniors sailing the Lasers followed  by the prize giving at 6 PM
