MLSD Social Welfare Trust Launches ‘The Crime Against Women’ Awareness Campaign; Hosts Nari Samman Samaroh in Faridabad

Faridabad, July 23, 2026: MLSD Social Welfare Trust (Regd.), in association with CNC, successfully organized the 'Nari Samman Samaroh' and the launch of its awareness campaign "The Crime Against Women" jere. The event aimed to raise public awareness about crimes against women, promote women's safety and dignity, and encourage collective social responsibility.
The programme was graced by Dr. Archana Gupta, State President, BJP Haryana, as the Chief Guest. Former Member of Parliament Smt. Sunita Duggal presided over the event, while noted actress Tridha Choudhury attended as the Special Guest.
Among the distinguished guests were Faridabad Mayor Praveen Joshi, DCP Faridabad Himandri Kaushik, Former Chairperson of the Haryana Women Commission Renu Bhatia, Ranjeeta Mehta, Suman Dahiya, Richa Pahwa, and several eminent personalities from different walks of life.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasized that crimes against women are not merely a law-and-order issue but a social challenge that demands collective action. They stressed the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for women through awareness, education, stronger implementation of laws, and active public participation.
During the event, the official poster of the "The Crime Against Women" campaign was unveiled. The initiative seeks to sensitize society about violence and crimes against women, encourage support for survivors, promote gender equality, and inspire communities to stand together for women's rights and safety.
A special Nari Samman ceremony was also held to honour women who have made significant contributions in their respective fields. The dignitaries appreciated their achievements and described them as role models who inspire society through their dedication and service.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Sharma, President of MLSD Social Welfare Trust, expressed his gratitude to all the guests, participants, media representatives, and supporters for making the event a success. He reaffirmed the Trust's commitment to continuing awareness campaigns and social initiatives focused on women's safety, dignity, empowerment, and equal opportunities.
