MLAs Pargat Singh, Beri, Rinku, Henry, Laddi and Chaudhary ensure food for needy during curfew

Jalandhar: The Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs)  from Jalandhar Mr. Pargat Singh, Mr. Rajinder Beri, Mr. Sushil Kumar Rinku, Mr. Avtar Singh Bawa Henry, Mr. Hardev Singh Laddi Sherowalia and Chaudhary Surinder Singh continued the drive of providing relief to the needy and underprivileged sections of the society and distributed 4500 packets of dry ration.
The MLAs who remained on the field for distributing dry ration in their respective areas, said that the state government was fully committed to provide a relief to the needy and underprivileged sections of society in this hour of crisis. 
They said that due to Coronavirus, the state government was according top priority to distribution of dry ration to the people in this hour of crisis. 
The MLAs said that in order to ensure regular and uninterrupted supply of food material to the needy people, the district administration has set up a central warehouse in the city from where relief material was being sent to this strata of society.
The MLAs said that today also 4500 packets of dry ration were sent to the various parts of the district. They said that the each packet contains 10-kg wheat flour, 2-kg pulses and 2-kg sugar adding that no stone was being left unturned for giving relief to the people in this hour of crisis. 
They also said that dedicated officers of various departments have been assigned duties round the clock for ensuring distribution of the dry ration amongst the needy and underprivileged sections of society.
They said that food material is being ensured to all the needy people especially the migrants in the city and no stone would be left unturned for ensuring these people do not face any kind of the problem.
