MLAs, Mayor and DC hold meeting with members of dairy associations, contractor; strict directions issued to ensure lifting of cow dung to avoid action
For ensuring door to door lifting of cow dung from the Haibowal and Tajpur road dairy complexes, MLAs Madan Lal Bagga, Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Himanshu Jain on Monday evening held a meeting with the members of dairy associations and contractor hired for door to door lifting of cow dung in both dairy complexes at Bachat Bhawan.

Ludhiana, March 30, 2026: For ensuring door to door lifting of cow dung from the Haibowal and Tajpur road dairy complexes, MLAs Madan Lal Bagga, Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Himanshu Jain on Monday evening held a meeting with the members of dairy associations and contractor hired for door to door lifting of cow dung in both dairy complexes at Bachat Bhawan.
The aim of the meeting was to improve coordination between the dairy owners and the contractor hired for door to door lifting of cow dung from Haibowal and Tajpur road dairy complexes.
In the meeting, it was decided that the contractor would adeploy carts (rehras) in the dairy complexes to facilitate door to door lifting of cow dung. They stated that the meeting was held to improve coordination between the dairy owners and contractor to ensure door to door lifting of cow dung. They are not against dairy owners, but no one can be allowed to dump cow dung in Buddha Dariya.
They further stated that state government led by Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to rejuvenate Buddha Dariya and every required step is being taken to achieve the goal.
ADC (UD) Amit Bamby, DCP Jaskaran Teja, SDM (West) Kuldeep Bawa, SDM (East) Jasleen Kaur Bhullar, MC Joint Commissioners Vineet Kumar, Amanpreet Singh, Deepjot Kaur, RTA Secretary Mankanwal Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal's representative Hardev Singh Daudar among other officials of district administration, Municipal Corporation (MC), PPCB, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, PEDA, representatives of dairy owners association from Haibowal and Tajpur road dairy complexes, contractor for door to door lifting of cow dung among others were present in the meeting.
