Ludhiana, September 27, 2026: Moving forward for developing quality road infrastructure, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar launched major projects to reconstruct Shahpur road and Gurudwara Sri Kalgidhar Sahib road in ward number 90 on Sunday.
Shahi Imaam Punjab, Maulana Mohammad Usman Rehmani Ludhianvi among other area residents and shopkeepers were also present on the occasion.
MLA Bagga, MLA Prashar and Senior Deputy Mayor Prashar said that both the roads are being reconstructed at a cost of around Rs 75 lakh and strict directions have been issued to the concerned staff that there should be no compromise with the quality of works.
Speaking of the development projects in ward number 90, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar said that recently, a major project has also been launched to reconstruct streets in Saban Bazar. A volleyball court is also being established in Lakkar Bazar.
MLA Bagga, MLA Prashar, Senior Deputy Mayor Prashar said that state government led by Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann is working for holistic development of the state. They said that projects worth crores are being taken up in the city too to ensure sustainable development. More such projects would be launched in the coming days.
Members of market association and shopkeepers Billa Kunj, Deepak Sharma Deepa, Harjot Kalra, Mustkeem Rehmani, Ajay Sharma, Parveen Aggarwal Pinka, Kuki Singh, Gurmeet Pujara, Jimmy Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Bhola Bhandari, Gurpreet Singh, Deepak Mehra, Sahil Kumar, Ramesh Sharma, Harish Pasricha, Gulshan Kumar, Vijay Arora among others were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
