MLA, Sr Dy Mayor and MC Chief inspect static compactor site near Pavilion mall; concerned officials directed to stop open dumping of garbage

Ludhiana, November 3, 2025: After Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar raised concern over open dumping of garbage around static compactor site near Pavilion mall, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga, Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar, Deputy Mayor Prince Johar and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal conducted inspection at the site on Monday.
The civic body teams are already working to clear the garbage from the site. Necessary directions have been issued to the staff to expedite the process and ensure that there should be no open dumping of garbage at the site again.
Corporation Sanitation Officer (CSO) Ashwani Sahota, Health Officer Vipal Malhotra among other officials were present during the inspection.
Senior Deputy Mayor Rakesh Prashar stated that earlier in the last week of October, they had received complaints against open dumping of garbage and of a few mischievous residents burning the waste outside the compactor site. Following which the civic body officials were directed to remove the waste and take action against the violators.
MLA Bagga, Senior Deputy Mayor Prashar, Deputy Mayor Johar and MC Commissioner Dachalwal stated that the civic body is making regular efforts to improve solid waste management in the city. The officials have been directed to stop open dumping of garbage and strict action should be taken against the violators who dump the waste in open.
Meanwhile they appealed to the residents to support the civic body in keeping the city clean and stop open dumping of garbage to avoid action.
