MLA Sanjay Talwar lays foundation stone of Govt Senior Secondary Smart School in Ward 18 today

Ludhiana: With an aim of providing best education facilities to the students of Ludhiana (East) constituency, MLA Mr Sanjay Talwar today laid the foundation stone of upcoming Government Senior Secondary Smart School in ward no 18 of city behind Vardhman Mills, Chandigarh Road, here. He informed that this school is coming up with a cost of Rs 13 crore on 3-acre land provided by Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA).

    The bhoomi poojan on the land where this school is coming up was done in the presence of religious personalities from all religions. Prominent among those present on the occasion included Pandit Ajit Krishan, Bhai Pritam Singh Khalsa, Maulvi Kari Mohammad Arshad, Father Litto, besides a large number of students.

    While speaking to media persons on the occasion, Mr Sanjay Talwar informed that with a cost of around Rs 200 crore, there is a proposal for constructing atleast 10 such schools in ward number 5, 6, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 18. He informed that the construction of upcoming smart schools in ward number 13 and 15 would be started in next 3 months, besides the under construction building of Government College in Ludhiana East would be completed by Vaisakhi.

    He also thanked Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, Cabinet Minister Mr Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria and GLADA Chief Administrator Mr Parminder Singh Gill for allowing the construction of this school in land provided by GLADA. He informed that students of this government smart school would be provided best education related infrastructure, and it would be first government smart school that would have playground, solar system, projectors in each classroom, wifi, besides swimming pools for junior and senior students.

    Prominent among those present on the occasion included MC Councillor Vineet Bhatia, DEO Rajinder Kaur, GLADA Executive Engineer Navjot Singh, Kanwaljit Singh Bobby, besides several others.
