Ferozepur, July 31, 2026: Paying homage to Shaheed-e-Azam Udham Singh on his martyrdom day, Ferozepur Urban MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar laid floral tributes at Shaheed Udham Singh Chowk and remembered the legendary freedom fighter's unparalleled sacrifice for the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhullar said Shaheed Udham Singh avenged the Jallianwala Bagh massacre by assassinating Michael O'Dwyer in London, setting an extraordinary example of courage, patriotism and commitment to justice during India's freedom struggle. He said Udham Singh's supreme sacrifice continues to inspire every Indian to serve the nation and stand for justice.
Describing Shaheed Udham Singh as one of India's greatest revolutionaries, the MLA said his fearless act became a symbol of resistance against colonial oppression and remains a source of inspiration for generations.
Bhullar also urged people to honour the ideals and dreams of the great martyr by strengthening national unity, integrity and communal harmony. The gathering concluded with slogans of "Shaheed Udham Singh Amar Rahe" in memory of the iconic freedom fighter.
