MLA Prashar, MC Commissioner conduct field inspection for expediting work to cover Shivaji nagar nullah, establish flood gate near Dhokka Mohalla  

Ludhiana, January 29, 2024: With an aim to expedite development works including the project to cover Shivaji Nagar nullah and establishing flood gate near Dhokka Mohalla, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Sandeep Rishi conducted field inspections in the respective areas on Monday.

MLA Prashar and MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi also visited Greater Ludhiana Area development Authority (GLADA) market near civil hospital and issued directions for development and upkeep of the market areas.

During the field visit, civic body officials were also directed to expedite work of constructing road on other side of buddha nullah from Kirpal nagar till Madhopuri.

MLA Prashar said that different areas of GLADA market near civil hospital have been lying neglected for years. MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi is also holding the charge of Chief Administrator (CA) GLADA. So it was decided to visit the market and directions have now been issued for upkeep of neglected areas. 

The concerned staff has been directed to sale off/auction the remaining plots in the market. The authorities have also been directed to look into the files of the allottees who have failed to construct the buildings in the markets even after the allotment. 

The legislator further stated that the work to cover the Shivaji Nagar nullah would be completed soon and the concerned staff has been directed to expedite the work. The civic body staff has also been directed to speed up the work to cover the nullah moving alongside Dharampura. 
  
MLA Prashar and MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi also directed the concerned staff to speed up the process of establishing flood gate near Dhokka Mohalla and construction of road on other side of buddha nullah from Kirpal Nagar to Madhopuri.
 
MLA Prashar said flood gate has been planned to stop water accumulation in Dhokka Mohalla and adjoining areas during monsoon season. He further stated that construction of road on the other side of buddha nullah from Kirpal Nagar to Madhopuri will streamline the movement of traffic in the area.

MLA Prashar stated that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led state government is committed for overall development of the state. Similarly quality infrastructure being developed in Ludhiana central constituency and the authorities have been directed to expedite the ongoing works.
