MLA Prashar kick starts project to install high mast lights at Baba Than Singh chowk and Ghatti Mohalla chowk
In a bid to ensure safety of commuters and residents, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi inaugurated the project for installation of high mast lights at Baba Than Singh chowk (ward number 82) and at Ghatti Mohalla chowk (ward number 83) on Thursday.

Ludhiana, May 22, 2025: In a bid to ensure safety of commuters and residents, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi inaugurated the project for installation of high mast lights at Baba Than Singh chowk (ward number 82) and at Ghatti Mohalla chowk (ward number 83) on Thursday.
The high mast lights are being installed at a cost of around Rs 14 lakh and the projects are being taken up by Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT). Residents of the area and AAP volunteers were also present during the inauguration ceremony.
MLA Prashar stated that there was dire need to install high mast lights in these areas to ensure safety of commuters and residents. The lights are also being installed in other areas of the city to remove all the dark spots.
MLA Prashar further stated that Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government is making rigorous efforts to facilitate the public at large in every aspect. A large number of development projects are being taken up in Ludhiana central constituency and more projects worth crores would be launched in the coming days.
