MLA Prashar inaugurates Rs 1.55 crore project to construct concrete roads in Transport Nagar 

Ludhiana, December 26, 2023: With an aim to improve road infrastructure in Transport Nagar, Ludhiana central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi inaugurated Rs 1.55 crore project to construct concrete roads in the Transport Nagar on Tuesday.

Fulfilling the long pending demand of the transporters, MLA Prashar stated that various roads of the Transport Nagar would be reconstructed under the project. The officials have been directed to construct concrete roads (RCC) so that the roads should not damaged due to movement of heavy vehicles.

Listening to the demands of the transporters, MLA Prashar further directed the civic body officials to work on a proposal to cover the nullah moving through the Transport Nagar. Discussions were also held for improving the parking areas in Transport Nagar.

Chairman of Ludhiana Goods Transport Association, Charan Singh Lohara among other members of the association said that the transporters have been facing a lot of problems due to potholed roads in the past. They appreciated the efforts of MLA Prashar for fulfilling the long pending demand of the transporters and commencing the project to construct concrete roads.

MLA Prashar said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led state government is working to improve infrastructure in the state. The transporters have been demanding reconstruction of roads in Transport Nagar for along time. This demand has only been fulfilled by the AAP government. 

MLA Prashar further stated that apart from this Rs 1.55 crore project inaugurated on Tuesday, a number of other development projects are also being taken up in different areas of Ludhiana Central constituency. The civic body officials have been directed to ensure that there is no compromise with the quality of works and the works should be completed in stipulated time period.
