MLA Prashar inaugurates project worth Rs 3.66 crore for construction of road and retaining wall around 'Buddha Dariya'
Working to improve road connectivity and for streamlining the movement of traffic, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi kick started the project to construct road and RCC retaining wall around Buddha Dariya in ward number 83 on Monday.

Ludhiana, October 13, 2025: Working to improve road connectivity and for streamlining the movement of traffic, Ludhiana Central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi kick started the project to construct road and RCC retaining wall around Buddha Dariya in ward number 83 on Monday.
Under the project worth around Rs 3.66 crore, the road and retaining wall would be constructed from New Madhopuri puli till Sundar Nagar. Area residents and volunteers were present during the inauguration ceremony.
MLA Prashar stated that it was a long pending demand of the residents to construct a road on the other side of the Dariya, but the traditional parties failed to construct the road. They had made a promise to the residents and the project to construct the road has now been started on Monday. Construction of this road will streamline the movement of traffic in the area and help in decongesting roads.
Retaining wall would also be constructed around the Dariya and for ensuring proper lighting in the area, 25 new street lights would also be installed in the area, added MLA Prashar.
MLA Prashar said that working under the guidance of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann, development projects worth crores are going on in Ludhiana central constituency and no stone is being left unturned to develop quality infrastructure.
