MLA Jeevan Singh Gill today distributed loan waiver letters worth Rs 32.22 lakh to 17 families of Gill Constituency regarding Scheduled Caste Land Development and Finance Corporation.

Ludhiana, July 5, 2025: MLA Jeevan Singh Gill today distributed loan waiver letters worth Rs 32.22 lakh to 17 families of Gill Constituency regarding Scheduled Caste Land Development and Finance Corporation.
Addressing the function, MLA Jeevan Singh Sangowal said that the promises made by the AAP led Punjab government are being fulfilled in a phased manner. He said various historic decisions have already been taken to make the lives of the people more smooth. Under this series of decisions, the Punjab government has waived off the outstanding loan amount of the Scheduled Castes Land Development and Finance Corporation till 31-03-2020, under which the loan of Rs 32.22 lakh of 17 families of Gill constituency has been waived off. He also pointed out that nearly Rs 68 crore of loans across Punjab had also been waived off thus benefitting 4800 families.
The MLA said that this relief is very big for those who earn their daily bread by doing hard work. Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann has taken a great initiative in the form of this loan waiver directly benefitting hundreds of families in the state, he added.
MLA Sangowal said that the SC Land Development and Finance Corporation provides loans of up to Rs 10 lakh for varied purposes. He said the eligible youngsters could get full advantage of this welfare scheme to enable themselves self-reliant.
The MLA asked the officials of the Corporation to organize maximum number of camps in the villages and make people more sensitise about the schemes of the corporation.
On this occasion, MLA Jeevan Singh Sangowal also thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Social Security Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur. He also spoke to the beneficiaries, who expressed immense gratitude towards Government for this waiver.
