MLA Grewal, MC Chief inspect different areas in East constituency; issue necessary directions to avoid waterlogging
All possible help would be provided for damage caused by heavy rainfall - MLA Grewal

Ludhiana, September 6, 2025: As the city witnessed heavy rainfall, Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal and Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal inspected different areas in Ludhiana East constituency on Saturday.
MLA Grewal and MC Commissioner Dachalwal inspected Puneet Nagar, Bharpur Nagar among other areas on Tajpur road and issued necessary directions to avoid waterlogging. MLA Grewal and MC Commissioner Dachalwal also inspected the Jamalpur sewer treatment plant (STP). Zonal Commissioner Neeraj Jain, Chief Engineer Ravinder Garg, SE Praveen Singla among other officials were present during inspection.
MLA Grewal stated that for the past several days, incessant rainfall has wreaked havoc across different states of the country. As a result, many areas in Punjab have suffered heavy losses due to flooding.
During this time of crisis, state government led by Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann is continuously working for the welfare of residents. MLA Grewal stated that administration is also making all necessary arrangements to ensure the safety of affected residents and to provide every possible form of assistance.
MLA Grewal and MC Commissioner Dachalwal stated that there are a number of low lying areas in Ludhiana East constituency and necessary directions have been issued to concerned officials to avoid waterlogging.
MLA Grewal stated that the residents will receive full support and relief from the government for the damage caused by rainfall to their properties/houses.
MLA Grewal further stated that recently in ward no.17, a child died after a roof collapsed. Expressing his condolences to the grieving family, he announced that the family will soon receive full assistance from the government.
Ward In-charge Sukhwant Sukha, Baaj Sindhu, Pooja Pradhan, Pawan Jha, Raj Kumar, Vicky among others were present during the inspection.
