Ludhiana, April 25, 2025: Reiterating the commitment of Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann to make 'Rangla Punjab', Ludhiana East MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal and Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur launched a major cleanliness drive from Tajpur road on Friday.
Leading by example, MLA Grewal and Mayor Inderjit Kaur appealed to the residents to step forward and make combined efforts to make Ludhiana - number 1 city.
Councillor Ashwani Sharma, Councillor Kamal Manocha, MC Zonal Commissioner (Zone B) Neeraj Jain, CSO Ashwani Sahota, CSI Ameer Singh Bajwa among others also participated in the cleanliness drive.
Appreciating the efforts being put in by the sweepers and other class IV employees to keep the city clean, MLA Grewal said that all major roads and wards would be covered under the drive in the coming days. He appealed to the residents to make this a public movement and make efforts to keep their surroundings clean.
Mayor Inderjit Kaur said that ensuring cleanliness across the city has always been her priority and an extensive cleanliness drive has been launched across the city. She said that it is our duty to ensure a clean environment for our coming generations and combined efforts are required to achieve that goal.
MLA Grewal and Mayor Inderjit Kaur said that Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann led state government is committed to make 'Rangla Punjab' and serious efforts are being made for the same at each and every level. They are regularly monitoring the development works and feedback is also being taken from the residents for ensuring sustainable development.
