Missing girl's body found in field in UP's Kannauj, family suspects rape
The body of a seven-year-old girl was found in a maize field here, three days after she went missing.

Kannauj (Uttar Pradesh), May 8 (IANS) The body of a seven-year-old girl was found in a maize field here, three days after she went missing.
There were serious injury marks on the body, the girl’s father said, adding that he feared she was raped and murdered.
Kannauj Superintendent of Police, Kunwar Anupam Singh said the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination and the police are investigating the case.
The girl had gone missing from her cousin’s wedding ceremony at Talgram last week and her family had lodged a missing complaint with the Kannauj police the next day.
Further investigations are underway.
