Minister Sond inaugurates new computerized radiography machine at Civil Hospital

Khanna (Ludhiana), December 24, 2025: Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Wednesday inaugurated a new computerized radiography machine worth Rs 10 lakh at Local Civil Hospital. 

This new computerized radiography machine produces digital prints after taking X-rays and allows closer examination of injuries. Most accidents' victims involving bone fractures or other injuries being brought here and with this machine, they will get better treatment facilities here. The previous machine was decades old and had many technical faults. 

Sond noted that the hospital has daily OPD of 1,500 and infrastructure is being strengthened with modern machines introduced. He lauded Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and stated that under his leadership, continuous efforts are being made in sectors like education and health. Treatment at government hospitals and Mohalla Clinics in Punjab is completely free, including medicines, no doctor fees, and medical tests.

Sond further announced that the state government will soon launch Health Insurance scheme in which people can avail cashless treatment up to Rs 10 lakh in both government and private hospitals. He emphasized that the Punjab government is committed to the welfare of every section of society and will leave no stone unturned in this noble cause.

SMO Khanna Dr. Maninder Singh Bhasin and other health officials were also present on the occasion.
