Khanna (Ludhiana), Sept 27, 2025: Rural Development and Panchayat Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Saturday handed over appointment letters to four youths on compassionate grounds in local Municipal Council.
Speaking at the event, Minister Sond stated that four of them have become a part of the government and now they have to play an active role in Municipal Council. He advised them to do their job with honesty and integrity. He highlighted the Punjab Government’s commitment to its Mission Rozgar initiative, which has provided over 56,000 government jobs to the state’s youth in the three years of regime. He emphasized that these jobs were awarded purely on merit, without favoritism, marking a significant milestone for Punjab’s youth.
Sond expressed regret that previous governments neglected to prioritize employment for young people.
The appointed youths expressed their gratitude to the Punjab Government for the opportunity.
