Minister Mundian provides Rs 50,000 cash aid for flood-damaged home in Sahibana
Amount provided from his own salary to support the immediate needs of the affected family

Ludhiana, Sep 18, 2025: Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian personally handed over Rs 50,000 in cash to Balvir Singh of Sahibana village on Thursday to urgently repair his home’s roof, which was severely damaged due to recent heavy rainfall. He provided this amount from his own salary to support the immediate needs of the affected family.
Minister Mundian also announced that additional funds will be released by the Punjab Government to further assist Balvir Singh in rebuilding and recovery efforts. "I have discussed the matter with the Deputy Commissioner to ensure comprehensive support," said Mundian, emphasizing that every loss incurred due to the floods will be duly compensated.
The Minister added that the Punjab Government has taken proactive measures to address the widespread impact of the recent floods. A special Girdawari (crop and property damage assessment) has already been ordered to evaluate the extent of losses across affected areas. He assured that compensation will be provided to all flood-affected individuals within a 45-day period, ensuring swift and effective relief.
The Minister stated that the Punjab Government is committed to supporting its citizens during this challenging time, with coordinated efforts to provide timely aid and rehabilitation to those impacted by the floods.
