Ludhiana, June 1, 2025: Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Ludhiana (West) Assembly constituency, held a booth-level meeting in Sarabha Nagar Main Market here on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, Punjab Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal urged voters of Ludhiana (West) to support Sanjeev Arora, praising his exceptional contribution to the city’s development over the past three years. He described Arora as the right person to raise the people’s voice in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. He highlighted that Arora has already accomplished significant development work even without getting elected.
Dhaliwal also emphasized the state government’s pro-people policies and programmes under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He assured the public that the government firmly supports Arora, who has worked tirelessly for the city’s development and welfare of its residents. He also stressed that the upcoming bypoll will be conducted in a free and fair manner.
In his address, Sanjeev Arora shared a detailed list of development initiatives undertaken during his tenure as Rajya Sabha MP. Among the major achievements, he highlighted the granting of proprietary rights to residents in Lal Lakir areas—a task he said had remained unfulfilled for seventy years by previous governments. Arora said that it is the willingness and passion to serve that drives such change, and promised to work four times harder if elected in the upcoming bypoll.
MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Municipal Councillor Amrit Varsha Rampal, and local AAP leader Amarjit Singh also commended Arora for his comprehensive development efforts across city. They urged residents to vote for development and stressed the importance of voter turnout. "Every vote counts," they said, calling on people not to remain at home on polling day.
Bhupinder Chawla, Amandeep Kaur, and Jagmeet Chawla were among those present on the occasion.
