Chandigarh, January 17, 2026: Minerva Academy FC began the new year on a high, lifting their first tournament title in emphatic fashion with a series of commanding performances marked by attacking flair, defensive discipline, and standout individual brilliance.
The title was sealed with a resounding 3–0 victory over Nadalon FC in the final. Minerva asserted control from the outset, with prolific forward Himanshu Jangra netting a superb brace, while Wungshung added the finishing touch to cap off a dominant display.
Minerva’s journey to the championship was equally convincing. The campaign opened with a solid 2–0 win over DAV Phagwara, once again driven by Himanshu Jangra, who scored both goals to set the tone for the tournament. In the semi-final, Minerva raised the bar further, overpowering USA Club Bhungarni, where Himanshu completed a clinical hat-trick to propel his side into the final.
